The World Organisation of Building Officials acknowledges the difficulties placed on society by COVID-19 and commends the actions of professionals and professional bodies to assist their members and fellow professonals by providing guidance and supporting them in their activities within the built environment.

CABE and RICS have jointly developed sector specific guidance for building control professionals to assist in managing the risks of COVID-19 as construction sites reopen, titled; Beyond COVID-19: Recovery measures in building control in England as COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

The document provides guidance on everything from plans, site operations, and safety considerations and good practice – we urge all of our building control members to familiarise themselves so that as an industry we can move forward together safely.
