Geobear – Emergency Ground Works after Weather Events
Occasionally, structures may experience unexpected movement due to weakened ground, often exacerbated by severe weather conditions such as heavy rainfall. Prolonged or intense rain can lead to flooding, causing washout of material beneath structures and compromising their stability, which requires urgent attention.
One such case occurred with a sewer system in Anglia. A flash flood weakened the joints in a pipe, allowing water to escape into the surrounding ground, further eroding its bearing capacity. An immediate solution was needed to strengthen the ground and prevent structural movement. Geobear developed a geopolymer injection solution that reinforced the soil using expanding geopolymer injections. Read more – geobear.us7.list
Void Filling Solutions by Geobear
We offer void fill solutions for projects of any size across the UK and Ireland. Whether you’re dealing with voids in pipelines, tunnels, sinkholes, culverts, basements, or beneath roads and other infrastructure, our innovative methods provide an efficient and minimally disruptive solution.
Lightweight and Stable Solutions
Our void-filling process uses specialised materials, including Geobear’s geopolymer and, when necessary, a lightweight clay aggregate. This combination ensures the filling materials are lightweight and stable, avoiding any significant load that could negatively impact the site’s overall stability.
Flexible and Efficient Application
Our advanced injection techniques allow for void filling up to 70 meters away from the access point, enabling us to tackle hard-to-reach areas without the need for heavy equipment or extensive site disruption. The inert nature of our materials also ensures that they can be easily excavated in the future if access to the void is required. Learn more about void filling – geobear.us7.list-manage.com
