WaterMark Advisory Notice: Lead free requirements
The Australian Building Codes Board have released a notice that provides initial advice about the limitation to the allowable content of lead in certain plumbing products.
The notice intends to provide initial advice to WaterMark Certification Scheme stakeholders for the forthcoming changes. The changes will be given effect through the amendment for the 2022 edition of the National Construction Code, Volume Three – also known as also known as the Plumbing Code of Australia – for adoption in September 2025.
