Australia: We’re launching a refreshed campaign to raise awareness of the WaterMark Certification Scheme

WOBO thanks the Australian Building Codes Board for the update.

The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) is launching the ‘LOOK for the WaterMark’ campaign in response to low awareness of the WaterMark Certification Scheme, and the potential pitfalls of using uncertified products.

The WaterMark Certification Scheme ensures plumbing and drainage products are fit for purpose and authorised for use. It’s important that the scheme is understood not only by plumbing and building practitioners but also by consumers, product suppliers and retail staff.

The campaign is intended to empower practitioners and stakeholders across the whole supply chain to communicate the value and importance of WaterMark certified products.

Your support of this campaign will ensure that appropriate products are used in future installations, as well as influencing the purchasing decisions of consumers. This will avoid the potential consequences of not using WaterMark certified products, such as costs for replacing materials, product failure causing poor health outcomes and building damage, and possible voided insurance.

To assist you in being part of this important initiative we have prepared a toolkit containing assets to help you spread awareness of the scheme. The toolkit will allow you to communicate as you like with your audience, through your preferred media and channels. It will include a range of resources:

  • Key messages
  • FAQs
  • Fact sheets
  • Articles
  • Digital banners
  • Social media tiles and copy
  • Video content
  • Posters

The campaign will launch early April 2022. If you want to help us spread this important message, please subscribe to our marketing list to ensure that you receive access to the campaign material in advance of the launch.
