CROSS expands its remit to include fire safety
As part of our mission to make structures safer, we have broadened the remit of CROSS-UK to include fire safety. This is a consequence of the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017. It has been driven by Dame Judith Hackitt’s appointment by Government to carry out an Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety.
To accommodate the expansion, we worked closely with built environment professionals to make the CROSS website work better for you. This includes:
- Improved search – you will be able to find safety information more easily
- Easier reporting – we have made submitting a report to CROSS more clear and simple
- Mobile friendly – our website is now optimised for mobiles and tablets
