The International Code Council’s Center of Focus on Energy, Resilience, and Innovation is pleased to share the September ICC Energy and Sustainability Newsletter, which will continue on a bi-monthly basis moving forward!

The September 2023 issue of the ICC Energy and Sustainability Newsletter features:

• DOE announced $400 million in formula funding for states, D.C., and U.S. territories to either adopt or achieve full compliance with the 2021 IECC or its zero energy appendices for residential and commercial buildings through the Inflation Reduction Act.
• ICC launches the Building Capacity for Sustainable and Resilient Buildings initiative to amplify the widespread need for implementation of effective building regulatory systems to ensure that the benefits intended by building regulations are realized.
• The 2024 IECC Consensus Committees have moved into the balloting phase of public comments to the Public Comment Draft #2.
• Registration information for ICC’s Annual Conference and the numerous energy-focused education sessions offered.
