FREE webinar introduces a new Quality Management standard for the sector

A good opportunity to catch up on BSi developments – for free!

In recent years, the built environment sector has been contending with some fundamental quality issues that, amongst other things, have shown in some cases shortcomings of using ISO 9001 within the sector.

As a result, the industry has expressed a strong desire for a single, focused built environment quality standard to provide additional requirements alongside those of ISO 9001.

As the UK’s National Standards Body, we’ve responded by developing BS 99001 Quality Management Systems – Specific requirements for the built environment sector. We plan to publish it by the end of 2021.

Meanwhile on 26 May, we’re running a webinar that will:

  • Give you an overview of why quality management is more vital than ever to the sector
  • Introduce you to BS 99001: its aims, anticipated benefits and relationship to ISO 9001
  • Give you the chance to share your views and ask questions about the new standard and the issues that it will look to tackle

This webinar is for anyone involved in the built environment sector from financing and products to design and construction.

Participants will hear from:

Ian Richardson – Sector Lead for Built Environment, British Standards Institution (BSI)
Jon Adshead – Compliance & Audit Director, Mace

For some up-to-date thinking on the role of quality management in the sector; advance information on the new standard; and your chance to have your say on it; please join us on 26 May by booking your free place at the webinar now.
