The Board of Governors is pleased to welcome Paul E. Myers as the new President of the World Organization of Building Officials (WOBO).
Paul Myers has more than 40 years of leadership and experience in the fields of code enforcement, architecture, and construction. The former President of the International Code Council (ICC) is widely recognized for his expertise in change management, code enforcement, and business acumen.
Myers’ position as the President of the World Organization of Building Officials is the culmination of years of experience with building codes and the code enforcement industry.
In addition to the new duties Myers will assume in his role as President of the World Organization of Building Officials, he will continue in his role as President of Myers Associates, and the International Federation of Safe and Sustainable Buildings.
Founding President and Governor Omkar Channon, (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) stated that “With the inclusion of Mr. Myers as the new President, we are confident WOBO will continue its growth as a world class organization that is helping to set the standard for building safety worldwide.”
Founded in 1984, WOBO is a worldwide association dedicated to building safety through excellence in code enforcement. In Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
