Paul Myers was elected President of the World Organization of Building Officials in January 2017. He has also served as President of the International Code Council (ICC), the Building Officials and Code Administrators, Inc (BOCA), the Ohio Building Officials Association (OBOA), and the Southwest Ohio Building Officials Association (SWOBOA). Mr. Myers co-founded the International Federation for Safe and Sanitary Buildings (IFSB). His experiences have afforded him the opportunity to promote increased building safety and fire prevention throughout the world by means of information sharing and technological innovation. He has served on international, national, state, and local committees involved with building code and construction issues; and received a variety of prestigious awards for innovation, industry excellence, and quality performance. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, Mr. Myers’ career spans more than forty years in construction, architecture, and building code enforcement.
