Grupo ETE Delivers Portugal’s First Electric Ferry
Portugal’s first electric ferryboat has been delivered by Grupo ETE following a christening ceremony at Navaltagus Shipyard in Seixal, south of Lisbon. “Salicornia” – which has been developed entirely in Portugal, by national companies, to serve a Portuguese region – represents a maritime milestone as the first electric ferry on the Iberian Peninsula.
TES Presents Crucial Initiative for Québec’s Decarbonization through Green Hydrogen
TESCanada H2 Inc. , a Canadian developer of projects aimed at accelerating the energy transition, has announced the Projet Mauricie. Totalling $4 billion in investments for the region, the Projet Mauricie consists of the construction of an electrolyzer and renewable energy production assets. Upon its commissioning in 2028, the project will produce 70,000 tons of green hydrogen exclusively dedicated to Québec end-users.
Ørsted and FuturEnergy Ireland Granted Planning Approval for 121 MW Coom Green Energy Park
Ørsted and FuturEnergy Ireland have been granted planning approval from An Bord Pleanála for Coom Green Energy Park in County Cork. Coom Green Energy Park, an onshore wind development project located near the Bottlehill waste facility, has the potential to deliver up to 121 MW of renewable energy, which is the equivalent of powering 80,000 homes and displacing up to 150,000 tons of carbon emissions annually. In addition, the project includes provision for 50 MW of energy storage.
