RICS – Secure your place on the External Wall Systems Assessment Training Programme
The External Wall Systems (EWS) Assessment Training Programme equips you with the technical knowledge and practical skills to to carry out Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEWs) for buildings under 18 metres and to complete EWS1 forms under Option A and Option B for buildings classified as low or medium risk.
This Ofqual Level 6 Award is ideal for experienced professionals who want to develop their expertise in fire safety and contribute to a safer built environment.
You’ll learn how to:
Master the scope, purpose, and application of EWS1 forms and PAS9980:2022 FRAEWs.
Confidently complete EWS1 forms (Options A and B) and provide tailored remediation advice.
Prepare and deliver EWS reports, offering expert guidance on risk outcomes and timelines.
Who can enrol?
MRICS or FRICS who qualified via the Building Control or Building Surveying pathway.
Members of CABE, CIAT, CIOB or IFE, providing specific conditions are met.
AssocRICS who qualified via the Building Control pathway.
AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS or who qualified via any other pathway.
