The Scottish Government today published a consultation paper on their Phase 1 proposals for reviewing and extending permitted development rights in relation to priority development types: digital telecommunications infrastructure; agricultural development; peatland restoration; and development related to active travel. These changes are being prioritised to help support Scotland’s green recovery from coronavirus (COVID-19) and are designed to help deliver on key priorities, including tackling climate change and supporting remote and rural communities.

You are invited to respond to the consultation by 12 November 2020.

You can keep up-to-date on the planning reform programme, including public consultations and our programme for reviewing and extending permitted development rights at: www.transformingplanning.scot/planning-reform/
