“80-80-80 in 2030”?

The proposals contain the three targets set out by the Singapore Green Building Masterplan (SGBMP) to lower the built environment’s carbon footprint and provide healthy, liveable and sustainable living spaces for everyone.

More than 5,000 stakeholders had contributed their voices to co-create the 4th edition of the SGBMP titled “Build Our Green Future Together”.

Some highlights of the SGBMP include:

📈 Publishing the energy performance data of all buildings, starting with commercial buildings in the second half of 2021.
⚡️ Raising the minimum energy performance requirements for new buildings and existing buildings that undergo major retrofit.
🌿 Reviewing the Green Mark scheme to raise the standards accordingly.
🏦 Taking the lead with the Government in bringing Super Low Energy buildings into the mainstream and exploring further measures to drive adoption of Super Low Energy buildings in the private sector.
💰 Looking into enhancing funding support for the Green Buildings Innovation Cluster (GBIC) programme.
