The United Nations; Climate Change Intergovernmental Report

WOBO thanks WOBO Governor Omkar N. Channan for the provision of a link from The United Nations in respect of climate change.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), a United Nations body solely dedicated to looking at the science behind climate change, released today its much-anticipated report: Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability.

This critically important UN report – authored by 270 scientists from 67 countries and approved by 195 governments – shows in very stark terms that worsening climate impacts are wreaking havoc in every part of the world and are affecting every living thing on the planet: humans, animals, plants, entire ecosystems. The report sounds a strong warning that much bolder action is needed immediately to cut greenhouse gas emissions as well as to adapt to the increasing climate impacts and protect the most vulnerable.
