Smarter Fire Protection: The Role of Multi-Sensor Detectors

Join FSM and Apollo on the 11 September at 10:30am to explore the advanced capabilities of multi-sensor fire detectors and their critical role in enhancing fire safety.

A key advantage of multi-sensor technology is its ability to reduce false alarms, particularly those caused by non-fire stimuli like vaping, aerosols, steam, and stage smoke.

Standards such as BS 5839:1 emphasize the importance of using real stimuli and verifying that each sensor responds appropriately. Proper documentation, technician training, and access to system configurations are essential to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Research by BRE and the FIA has shown that multi-sensors can reduce false alarms by up to 69%, making them a cost-effective and reliable solution for settings prone to nuisance triggers, such as theatres, accommodation blocks, and educational institutions.

All attendees will receive a CPD certificate. Click here to register

Soluciones de microred de Jenbacher: Desbloqueando energía inteligente (Webinar: Jenbacher Microgrid Solutions: Unlocking Smart Energy) – September 24th │ 9 AM CST

Microgrids are decentralized energy solutions that produce energy and supply it to local consumers.

These microgrids can operate either in parallel with external central grids (macrogrids) or in stand-alone mode (islanded). In some cases, microgrids can transfer surplus electricity to macrogrids.

INNIO Jenbacher’s next-generation microgrid controllers offer a range of benefits for businesses and communities looking to improve their energy resilience and sustainability. These controllers enable the integration of Jenbacher gas engine solutions with other Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) based on renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, including small-scale energy storage, enabling a more reliable and sustainable energy supply in microgrids.

Microgrids powered by INNIO Jenbacher controllers can operate independently of the main grid, providing a reliable source of power during grid outages or disruptions. This can be especially valuable for critical infrastructure, such as hospitals and emergency services, as well as for data centers, industrial processes, and businesses that require an uninterrupted power supply. More Details.

Register today and join us for an informative webinar on how these innovative solutions can help your business or community achieve greater energy resilience and sustainability.
