Conflicts between capital project schedules and maintenance windows are one of the leading causes of unplanned downtime and compliance risk in manufacturing. From last-minute resource clashes to unsafe contractor overlaps, poor planning coordination can significantly impact operational continuity, safety, and cost.
This CPD-accredited webinar explores how manufacturers can transition from reactive, fragmented shutdown planning to a more structured, governed approach. We’ll examine integrated techniques for aligning maintenance work, contractor mobilisation, permit controls, and project timelines within critical shutdown windows.
Drawing from real-world programmes, our speakers will demonstrate how project governance tools like BestOutcome PM3 support visibility and resource alignment across capital portfolios. They’ll also showcase how CMMS platforms such as PEMAC ASSETS are used to drive compliance-led shutdown execution, from criticality-based maintenance prioritisation to contractor safety workflows and operational readiness tracking. PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” are a group of over 10,000+ man-made substances that can pose significant risks to human and environmental health, and discussions are still taking place about how and when they will be banned.
This, coupled with bans on chemicals like PFOS (a known pollutant) and PFOA (a known carcinogen), which came into force in July this year, means that the fire and firefighting foam industries are facing major shifts.
Since our last PFAS webinar, a Europe-wide ban on PFAS in portable extinguishers has been confirmed, and in Europe, they can’t be sold after 23 October 2026 and must be out of use by 31 December 2030.
With UK regulations expected to align in the near future, it is essential to understand how these regulatory developments may impact your business and to proactively evaluate your fire safety requirements. We invite you to attend our FREE CPD-accredited webinar, “PFAS and Fire Safety: Looking Beyond the Headlines,” taking place on Tuesday 18 November at 11:00 am.
Closing the loop: Designing for Recyclability
Join us for a live webinar hosted by sustainability consultancy Eunomia and packaging innovation agency Touch where you’ll learn how to overcome some of the key challenges brands face when designing for recyclability (DfR).
Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requirements are now in force, meaning that from 2030, all packaging sold in the EU must meet strict recyclability performance standards. Meanwhile, a new UK pEPR and supporting Recyclability Assessment Methodology (RAM) have been launched in the UK, and several US states are implementing their own pEPR regulations.
