LDES is essential for maintaining a resilient, low-carbon grid, with storage demand expected to rise significantly by 2040. Although LDES offers substantial benefits, its growth faces obstacles including interconnection delays, technical obstacles, and financial challenges among others. Nevertheless, through innovative solutions and collaborative efforts, these barriers can be tackled by unlocking the full potential of LDES and advancing toward a sustainable energy future.
To delve into the challenges and what lies ahead, don’t miss our session, “Navigating the Landscape of LDES Challenges.” This session features a great discussion between our keynote speakers Gabriel Murtaugh (LDES Council), and Prantik Saha (Black & Veatch).

Scaling up sustainability: Key ingredients to unlocking climate innovation

The date of the event has past but if you would like to watch a video of the event, you can do so by following this link: https://www.edie.net/scaling-up-sustainability-key-ingredients-to-unlocking-climate-innovation/

This one-hour webinar will hear from businesses at the forefront of climate action, who are partnering to scale-up innovations that can make a tangible difference in the battle against the climate crisis.

The path to net-zero by 2050 requires low-carbon investments to rise from $900bn in 2020 to $5trn annually by 2030. Radical sums of money need to be diverted into emerging markets and scalable, “corporate ready” innovations that can help the private sector meet timebound, climate targets.

FSM Webinar ‘ An Introduction to BS 7273-4 ‘.

You can watch it On Demand for free here.

It is common for a fire detection and fire alarm system to be linked to various forms of door hardware. Devices are actuated by the arrangements described in BS 7273-4 to open, release, or unlock doors that form part of the means of escape in the event of a fire, or that prevent the spread of smoke and fire into escape routes. Their use might also be required to make buildings, and circulation routes within buildings, accessible for groups of people, such as those with certain forms of disability.
