Welcome all to the last Keynote Lecture of the year!
We’re continuing our exploration of the MENA region and its cultural specificities through the lecture by Nadine Bitar, one of the esteemed members of the Academy’s Steering Committee!
The lecture will take place on the 19th of December at 6 pm CET (Italy time), and as usual, it will be streamed on our LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube channels. Watch it live with us to participate in the Q&A with Nadine!
About the Keynote Lecture
Place as an approach for transforming MENA cities
Place is a complex concept that enables the convergence of multi-disciplinary approaches to urban transformations. In this lecture, Nadine Bitar will describe in general the challenges that MENA cities face and how PLACE could be an entry point to transform cities to be liveable, resilient and prosperous. Exploring the different types of place-led methodologies, Nadine will explain in more detail her approach “place_led_cities 4.0” to support cities and towns in MENA, by transforming neighbourhoods and districts in response to global nature, climate, land, and SDG agendas.
